The Eight Things I Like About You

THE EIGHT THINGS I LIKE ABOUT YOU
~AngeL to Someone Special~

1. your kiss
that heaven sent kiss when its touching my lips
makes me warm and still and full of bliss
its like magic with such tender kiss
and a feeling that i will always miss

2. your hug
your tight and wide arms that hold me
filled my atmosphere with a sense of security
as you draw me near and held me closely
such actions conclude that you hold me dearly

3. your smile
those teeth even if they are uneven
left my heart with a sense of unbroken
as you flash those smile moments are not barren
and a whole new light inside me paves to brighten

4. your eyes
along with your smile are your eyes that see
those sparkling pupils that you tend to use in me
hypnotizes my being and spirit so calmly
and i know this is where i am meant to be

5. your sense of humor
even with some random gloomy nights
you never failed to shed your light
your jokes never failed to hit me in sight
and made me giggle and laugh with all my might

6. your hand
your hand that held and in the air glides
especially when we walk side by side
assures me that you forever will be my guide
when our hands and fingers magically intertwined

7. your expressions
your expressions that is filled with emotion
like when you do some beautiful eyes action
your popoyo gesture and miming imitation
left me always surprised with no hesitation

8. your heart
your heart that warms and loves me
is enough to make me so so happy
thanks for the love and the life you shared with me
it made me realize how beautiful life can be

ENTRY number 15
~Luina Ashcroft~

I’ll be here, like we've always been

I’ll never trouble you if we try
Let’s compromise; there’s nothing more to it
Than just loving; you cannot keep my heart from coming back for more

Change of seasons; change of temperament
Still I’ll laugh and make you smile when you come home
From all the workload, the grades we have to uphold
I’ll struggle with you if it can keep me from coming back for more

It’s the trials ahead that makes life complete
With everyday the second counts to none
If it matters to spend less time with you
Still it won’t keep me from finding ways to come back for more

I will wait for you; in the pavements
Under rain, under stars; under the mid-day sun
Come to catch you, come to be with you
Only for a moment; it means a lot to keep me coming back for more

I am lost now; confuse me
This bitter taste of sadness, taste the loneliness
Of each night left unclosed; still will it keep me?
I’ll be smiling; hoping that today, I’ll be coming back for more

I’ll be coming back for more ~
I’ll give you all that I could be ~

I’ll be useful, just like the poem I gave to you
I’ll be singing all my tunes if it makes you feel adored
I’ll be truthful, just like those lines I had conjured
The miles apart will never keep me from coming back for more

There is only you that I can see in front of me
There I am that you’ll decide to keep
Let’s be together; let’s stay forever
All the while, I’ll be me, you’ll be you; lets keep us coming back for more

the rage of a thunderstorm; a lonely tempest

the sound it echoes through my half full closet
there behind the door are the toys and their lore
the forgotten trophies of dreams left unforged

there I found what was once a war torn diary
unveiling a realm hidden in a sunlit prairie
an endless stretch of meadows breaks the melody
this apathetic solace in an endless raphsody

a shadowy crevasse; a gash to a scar
a silent rain rages to veil a scarlet star
like wishes lost through time and age apart
the labyrinth of endings looking for a start

swooned to these feelings of loss and dismay
only to wake up hopeful in a world of disarray
to be colorful and often at times dull and gray
a paperback novel written in pages everyday

the vividness of tomorrow; an epic struggle today
yesterday's secrets dug to a grave
the rain, the sun, the wind and the moon
witnesses to life, death and the future coming soon

pain is only but a fragment of memories
one in a billion souls living rich or in poverty
or in between; maybe in a place filled with anarchy
in this life; there can only be entropy

to know you is to figure out what went astray
and the world ceased to turn and sway
there can be no holding back in this feelings
the cruel reality will not hinder us from love

There is only a bright line in a sea of darkness
a poisonous wave filled with bitter sadness
crashing into me; when I sail towards you
the storm rages on; drenched in its black residue

A lighthouse ahead, far away from home
to turn back is to be lost to find you and your tune
be my harbor, and I'll be your ship
lets get away from this madness and take a trip

everywhere, anywhere where its just you and me
inside realms in a virtual world of make belief
or outside; I can take you to places we can hide
a place where we can count on to bleed ourselves dry

to walk where you walk, to give what you want
to see you through me; to see what is real
to hope what is done for; all that I could be
to this moment, there can only be infinity

Entry Number 12

ENTRY number 12
~Luina Ashcroft~

Dearest Prince, who always let me down
Who favored wearing masks in pursuit of a crown
Who favored the rain, the darkness and the moon upside down
Always granting me the strength not to smile but to frown

Dearest Prince who I loved from the start
Who always had guided me into following my heart
And when we find love again and again
And fail passage; it is here you drop the act and begin

Dearest Prince who loved from afar
Who bickered and whine; keeping grudge in a jar
A reminder of something for me every time we went too far
You pour it into our memories; and kept the lid ajar

Dearest Prince, for six years we had bled
We had toiled and do battle with the beast we bred
And when we were defeated were you still behind our banner
Or are you away again, to hide behind your tower

Dearest Prince I had enough; for six years we kept a lot
I will leave you if you still insist on giving up
For nineteen years we exist in this world to live
To love and not to hate; compromise and give

But love is but a silly word, the River Prince said
To much we’ve wasted; time lost and hearts bled
Still we did not have the heart thought ours to had
We loved her for nearly a decade, now isn’t that sad?

We wrought the words from the heavens we adored
We paint the tributary of a love we thought to unfold
We shared our whole hearts and minds for that matter
All for an endless pursuit of someone who had loved another

But the past is past, O River Prince
It is but six seasons in a century of dreams
There are other fragments of memories to pursue
Why stick for a past that will never come true?

O River Prince, which many had, fell in your name
Whose glory remembered only in song and your fame
Now you are but just a remnant of our fear
See now the destruction you wrought for our ship to steer

Now I will leave this solemn tower to your pleasure
And see if your hatred will break asunder
Or nourish it for our enemies to grow stronger
And leave this country we love into a state of plunder

And when I return, I hope not this place will fall not into disrepair
From all your madness, your rancor and despair
There is still much more than just a profound sense of loss
Have you no heart to yourself m’lord? Have you no heart for our song

The song which the bards sang when we are at height of power
Before your eyes fell and your heart soon after
Long before the blue dragon banner
Before the great dragon war, before all else ceased to matter

The cryptic place, the elusive grace
Of the silent halls which you once played
The vivid memories of which the likes by now we’d grew out of
The foundations of this city which you were never proud of

The majestic halls filled with grandeur
Wrought of magic spells we had forgotten to conjure
Those of what we had never sought to attain
The simplicity of wanting simple things in life to gain

And so the observer leaves you in this lonely tower
To keep away from your ambitions of power
Away from this illusion; from your shell to break cover
And carry on our life outside as a lover

Lover to someone which I swore not to fail
And promised her our long sought Holy Grail
I will learn from all our past mistakes o Prince
Do not be a hindrance, or I will force to make a mistake

I will sever the ties you have from hands which you abhor
Which so I need in hopes of holding her hand I adore
And learn to continue writing pure and true
With or without you; red, gray, yellow or blue-

The afternoon ended with a storm
A tribute to the night which will follow me towards home
Rain clouds veering towards the heavens I adore
This endless cycle of life that will go on forevermore

Raindrop clears the pavement; the places above and below
The rooftops, the concrete, the passing cars and lights that glow
The empty streets with only the damp clothes as company
Everyone but me rushing towards a nearby sanctuary

How wonderful it is to laugh at this misery
Instead on wallowing on self pity
As the people behind their havens laugh at their expense
I laugh back and say to myself; I could get used to this

Love Poems for Different People

LOVE POEMS FOR DIFFERENT PEOPLE
~Lost Batos Locos~

For those who have no bf/gf:

You do not know how much time's left
'til time for you is past
so live and love as if this day
may be for you the last

For those who can't tell their feelings:

i love you, that is true
in this matter, i am no pro
all i want is for you to know
but i dont want you to answer NO

For those who are still not answered YET:

what you have begun
never leave til its done
be the labor great or small
do it well or not at all

For those with UGLY bf/gf:

o Lord, give me the grace to be
contented with who you gave to me
no! more than that, let me rejoice
in who you sent me - its your choice

For those utterly crazy over their bf/gf:

today the world looks new
but its me that really changed
for last night i found you
and my life was rearranged

For those loving individuals:

look upon others need
love demands the loving deed
tell that one your love is true
prove it by the deeds you do

For those with multiple lovers:

OH NO! you caught us by surprise
you could see it in your eyes
now i have to make a decision
of who among you gives better satisfaction

For broken hearts:

i want to be a rock, i wished
my hope to continue living ceased
i swore to myself to love no more
for i decided to try some more.

Brianna

BRIANNA
~AngeL~
*a tribute to such an angel*

such sweet face and angelic nature
led some people to pursue such torture
your mesmerizing look and eyes
blinded some people's hate to devise

those countless wounds and blood
are product of people's unknown grudge
your broken ribs and such broken bones
are evidences of such heartless disowns

such ill activities has led to your death
even if you are grasping your last breath
too bad you were not able to grow
and be a pretty girl everyone would know

may you rest in peace and be in Heaven
beside such loving faces and a warm haven
you might not experience the world and whats in store
but i know in your resting place you will be filled with adore

Pataas Pa, Sige Pa

PATAAS PA, SIGE PA
~Krizzia Demetilla~

Humawak nang mahigpit

Tandaang huwag na huwag bibitiw

Pataas pa
Pababa pa

Huminga ng malalim
Tandaang malayu-layo pa ang lalakbayin

Pataas pa
Pataas pa

Tikman ang manamis-namis na hangin
Tandaang umiikli na ang oras

Pababa pa
Pataas pa

Tingnan ang kumikislap-kislap na mga kulay
Tandaang sila'y butihing liwanag

Pababa
Pababa
Pababa na

O Agosto,
Sa paglalakbay ko nang limang minuto,
Inaalay itong alaala

Sa munting kabayo sa karusel
Na malaking saya sa maikling buhay ko
Kahit sa kaunti kong nagniningning na piso.

Random Thoughts

Such a beauty to behold and such a pain to unfold, love may be so cruel, but it can also be a fuel. deep within us, we always wanted to be longed for and in one way to belong...

We all try to know and understand the reason for what we do and will try to do. but at certain points in life, there are certain people that affect our lives. in one way or the other, we should try to be more careful of what we do and perhaps what we speak of...

it may be a bit foolish but as it unfolds it finds a perfect reason to have it a point in itself

a poet always find itself. a way to unfold the beauty it has possesswe find it in ourselves but never in our own actualizations....

but thanks to you i found the beauty of raising my pen... a beauty it is to once again write the thoughts that have been in slumber

You are a beauty without trusting my eyes

The pillow I embrace in the morning and at night
Your name, the sheep I count in my head
I sleep tight, knowing that I’m not alone; you’re someone I adore

Let hope run its course
Let love be not our downfall
My heart which was once a stone
Is now rekindled; the light of the world reborn

I’ll know if you cry when it rains
I’ll be your shield, to protect you from pain
The bag that will carry your secrets to the grave
A wandering troubadour, singing songs about your grace

You augment my happiness –

To blend the fondness with the way I cook

Is to remember how I smile at you whenever I look
With every glance at around your corner
A second stolen for my heart’s pleasure

To capture your beauty with my own eyes
A photograph of hope I cannot deny
To whisper softly your name while I spin
There is without doubt, pain I don’t want to miss

To be close is to be wild and free
Yet I doubt you’ll like what you see
Still, I can be, the best I can be
Though I may end up loosing a part of me

To love is always a risk
Yet to not love is naïve
You are so uniquely mundane
You are so real, when every moment feels like a dream

Scraps Scraps Crap and Crap

SCRAPS SCRAPS CRAP AND CRAP
~Jan Michell Catalan~

Walls of ancient anxiety incarcerate my being.
You can break them and free me,
but you can also fortify them...

The choice is yours,
My destiny... at your hands,

Bring me happiness, bring me grief
Bring me love, bring me misery

The choice is yours,
The consequence, mine

Don't fret,
You won't be blamed,
It won't be your fault,
I'm the only one liable for what i feel...

I have nothing to lose, but everything to gain...
your heart, my world
your arms, my sanctuary
your kiss, my sustenance
your eyes, my light
you are my life

I dared to reach you and so
This is my fate...
I am ensnared...
I am blinded...
I chose this and i will accept the consequence...
I chose to love you...

These beasts long locked up close to mine

Has now escaped the confines of my mind
Where I fed them of what I thought I’d forget to know

And when the night breaks to ail me with confusion
And these beasts rage on as I succumb to temptation
There is only my hatred to outlive their destruction

Come forth knights, show your valor; show the might of steel
Protect what’s left of the river prince realm to steal
Slay thy enemies and teach them what its like to feel

And when all hope is lost, do not dismay
Put a smile on your face and join the fray
There are naught but many troubles left to slay

It is going to be a long day-

Heroes come, heroes go, and Letner’s sword comes forth!
Flashing bravado, flashing memories, of better days to follow!
Heroes come, heroes go; in his wake comes autumn after snow

And when we rout thy enemy, its pyrrhic victory indeed
For the many knights are lost amongst the corpses of men and steed
To return with these bitter tidings costs the realm to bleed

But this is but a battle, the war is yet to be won
Against enemies and rivals long had passed or gone
Such is the tragedy befitting to every father’s son for the throne

So ends another story; a fragment of a dream
Another verse drank from the memory stream
Though loath to give advice, the lady of the waves oblige in my demise

With her I can see what mirrors do not reveal-

Now I know the troubles that lay ahead
And now is the moment where I need your helping hand
If you see only but the short term in me; please tell me

Prove me wrong, or let’s part ways and end this song

Another blockbuster hit for this summer season
Another poem made; tailored for any occasion
To this I aim for wisdom, and not just your affection

Please stay with me, as I make my way towards my path of redemption

It’s hard to stand up when you fall

The mantle of love is heavy for one side to carry it all
So I ask if you love me, it hurts as time goes on
I guess this wait is much painful than what I did before

I was never brave, I was never present
Until you came along; life was pleasant
But now it’s a mixture of love in a shade of red
Please don’t be too kind; push me away

It hurts to know you more-

To hear your voice on the phone
Over the airwaves, through the net; I miss its tone
I am yet to win another privilege call
To sing you my own songs, to prove that you are not alone

To learn of your smile, so charming in my eyes
I want to make you happy; to see it every time
But this distance between ourselves burns me as we go
I want to touch your hand, and know that I’ll never be alone

It hurts just to say I love you-

I know this feeling will not last forever
But I know this love of mine will find a way
To get through each day with a smile on my face
With simple things we do that makes life a little less sad

And though each night ends with uncertainty
Should we part our ways, or let this feeling be?
I just want to be honest; like you have always been
Tomorrow will be another day to embrace life and be me

With this love in my heart, you have set me free-

ASYMPTOTE
~Jan Michell Catalan~

I passed by...
shooting star...
struggling to avoid her,
my heart trembles,
my soul shakes,

I passed by...
lightning and thunder...
have to avoid her,
eyes like sunlight,
my dimly lit world slowly disintegrates,

discovery...
Sunlight was taken
But why is my world breaking?

discovery...
Sunlight preferred rather than
discovery...

And so I welcome sunlight,
for to me was revealed,
a painful discovery...

she will always be sunlight,
i cannot reach...

Four

FOUR
~AngeL~

Four sweet months of a love from you
loving relationship of a love so true
you made real the prince i value
and made my fantasy a realistic queue

Four sweet months of countless kisses
turning my cheeks into full blushes
your soft lips and warm caresses
made me want to stay with you for ages

Four long months of petty arguments
and little hours and days of absences
yet we managed to hang on for the present
to let this relationship survive thru the ailments

Four months now and hoping for more
wishing my lifetime would be spent in adore
with you as my husband with sweetness galore
and happiness that can never be equated with ore

ENTRY number 6
~Luina Ashcroft~

I sleep now under sheets of poetry
Tracing the lines of what we really are
I rest my head under pillows of sadness
Overjoyed for a dream yet to come

The darkness of the room has yet to falter,
And the dryness of the air ceased to calm
This makeshift bed of memories wounds me
I have not shared it with someone whom I love

Endless lines echoes in my head
Whispers of a nameless song
Can’t believe I’m still hearing this sound
So I listen to its beat with awe

To had searched the ocean depths aimlessly
And found the light of hope
I return with this sweet tiding
To melt my heart as cold as stone
Time will tell if this moment is fleeting,
Or another love story to unfold...
